.) Exercise. Physical performance is good for the body and soul. Whenever possible, rehearsal outside. Take a walk. Join your kids at the playground. Go for a hike. Ride your bike. The fresh air and sunshine will heighten your mood and energize your day.

.) Spend time with a friend. Nothing improves your mood faster than talking through your problems with a friend. Share your worries and let your friend comfort you or give you advice over a cup of coffee or hot tea.

.) Learn to say no. You don't have to bake cookies for the fourth grade bake sale. You don't have to lead the focus group your boss suggested. You don't have to walk your grandma's dog. Sure, they're all good things to do, but sometimes you need to forgo doing things that are good in order to focus on things that are crucial.

.) Take a vacation. It never hurts to get away from the routine. Use your hard-earned vacation days and spend some time reading, swimming, hiking, shopping, or sightseeing. Don't have time for a week-long getaway? Get away for the weekend! Act like a tourist in the nearest big city, even if this city is your hometown. If even a weekend feels too extravagant, then take a vacation from your electronics. Turn off your cell phone, computer, Nintendo Wii, Dvd player, Blackberry, and television. You'll be amazed at how much more time you have to relax once you take a break from technology.

In order to take care of your work, home, business, spouse, or kids, you must first learn to properly take care of yourself. In order to take care of yourself, you need to learn to relax. So, what are you waiting for? Get busy relaxing!
